Minor Oral Surgery (MOS)

Wisdom teeth are usually impacted (buried) in the jaw bone due to insufficient space for its eruption. A normal extraction cannot be done to remove it; therefore a minor oral surgery (MOS) is needed. The procedure is done under local anesthetic by an oral surgeon specialist. Patient will be given medication pre and post treatment to minimize the discomforting conditions. In most cases, wisdom tooth cause the gum around them to inflame and swollen. Wisdom teeth can also trap food debris between causing decays at the tooth in front of it, hence need to be removed.
